The Mecklenburg County Phoenix volleyball squad (Baskerville, VA), dropped 3-0 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA)

With the win, Glass improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Hilltoppers host Liberty (Bedford, VA) to encounter the Minutemen in a Seminole battle on Tuesday, September 16. The Minutemen go into the battle with a record of 0-6. Liberty lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA)

Next, the Phoenix meet the Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 13. Mecklenburg County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Spartans enter the contest with a 7-0 record after their 3-1 league win over Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA).
