In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Herbert Hoover Huskies volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Spring Valley Timberwolves .

The Huskies (16-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV). The Colts enter the non-league challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Philip Barbour beat Elizabethton (Elizabethton, TN), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Timberwolves meet the Hurricane Redskins (Hurricane, WV) in a Mountain State test, on Thursday, September 18. Spring Valley will attempt to improve on its 14-7 season record. The Redskins go into the test with a 7-4 record after their 2-1 league win over Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV).
