Rising Sun Shiners (Rising Sun, IN) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Pike Red Devils (Indianapolis, IN), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Rising Sun improves its record to 10-5 on the season. The Shiners host Jac-Cen-Del (Osgood, IN) to encounter the Eagles in a Ohio River Valley test on Monday, September 15. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 9-5. Jac-Cen-Del lost 3-2 in their recent league test against Southwestern (Hanover, IN)

The Red Devils now own a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Seymour for a non-league test on Saturday, September 13. Pike will encounter a Owls squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Scottsburg (Scottsburg, IN). The Owls record now stands at 4-9.
