In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Lincoln Railsplitters football squad scored a big 56-6 victory over the Des Moines North Polar Bears.

In their next game, the Railsplitters clash with the Lincoln Lynx (Council Bluffs, IA) in a 5A Group 2 match, on Friday, September 22. Lincoln will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Lynx enter the match with a 2-2 record after their 28-27 non-league loss to Jefferson (Council Bluffs, IA).
