Oregon High School Soccer - Sweet Home overwhelmed by Western Christian
September 14, 2023: Salem, OR 97304 The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Western Christian Pioneers (Salem, OR) and the visiting Sweet Home Huskies (Sweet Home, OR), saw Western Christian's soccer squad triumph over Sweet Home by a margin of 7-0.
The Pioneers now sport a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Salem Academy for a 3A/2A/1A-SD2 Special District 2 test on Monday, September 18. Western Christian will meet a Crusaders squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Westside Christian (Lake Oswego, OR). The Crusaders record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Sweet Home drops to 0-4 on the season. The Huskies host Stayton (Stayton, OR) to meet the Eagles in a 4A Oregon West test on Thursday, September 21. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 1-4. Stayton won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Gervais (Gervais, OR)
