The Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) football routed the visiting Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC), 62-22 in Thursday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Braves face the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, September 21. Cherokee will attempt to advance on its 4-1 season record. The Maroon Devils enter the bout with a 5-0 record after their 21-14 non-league win over Murphy (Murphy, NC).

The Yellowjackets (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Black Knights enter the non-league bout with a 4-1 record. In their last bout, Robbinsville walloped Andrews (Andrews, NC), 36-0, in a non-league game.
