September 14, 2023: Maplewood, MN 55109 The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN) and the host Hill-Murray Pioneers (Maplewood, MN), saw Simley's volleyball squad beat Hill-Murray by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Simley upgrades its record to 6-4 on the year. The Spartans host Hastings (Hastings, MN) to play the Raiders in a Metro East bout on Tuesday, September 19. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Hastings lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Tartan (Oakdale, MN)
The Pioneers now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Como Park for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 19. Hill-Murray will play a Cougars squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Washburn (Minneapolis, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 3-5.
