Ohio High School Football - Jackson can't hold off Mayfield
September 14, 2024: Massillon, OH 44646 Mayfield Wildcats (Mayfield, OH) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team tip the host Jackson Polar Bears (Massillon, OH), 23-16 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Mayfield improves its record to 4-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Cardinal Mooney (Youngstown, OH) to play the Cardinals in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 19. The Cardinals go into the battle with a record of 0-0.
The Polar Bears now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Green for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 21. Jackson will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 21-19 non-league win over Hoover (North Canton, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-2.
