Kentucky High School Soccer - Boyd County knocks off Pikeville
September 14, 2024: Ashland, KY 41102 In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Boyd County Lions soccer squad scored a nice 10-1 win over the Pikeville Panthers.
The Lions (7-2) will now prepare for their outing against West Carter (Olive Hill, KY). The Comets enter the non-league outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, West Carter was overwhelmed by Greenup County (Greenup, KY), 8-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Panthers confront the Belfry Pirates (Belfry, KY) in a District 57 outing, on Tuesday, September 17. Pikeville will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Pirates enter the outing with a 3-6 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Russell (Russell, KY).
