September 14, 2024: East Cleveland, OH 44112 Coventry Comets (Akron, OH) followers went home happy Saturday as they saw their soccer squad knock off the host Shaw Cardinals (East Cleveland, OH), 4-1 in a non-league battle.
The Comets (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Ravenna (Ravenna, OH). The Ravens enter the Metro Athletic battle with a 2-9 record. In their last battle, Ravenna by Cuyahoga Falls (Cuyahoga Falls, OH), 7-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Cardinals battle the Lorain Titans (Lorain, OH) in a Lake Erie - Erie battle, on Thursday, September 19. Shaw will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Titans enter the battle with a 3-7 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Sandusky (Sandusky, OH).
