September 14, 2024: Lancaster, OH 43130 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Lancaster Golden Gales (Lancaster, OH) and the visiting Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets (Mt. Vernon, OH), saw Lancaster's soccer squad hold off Mt. Vernon by a count of 2-1.
The Golden Gales (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Logan (Logan, OH). The Chieftains enter the Ohio Capital - Buckeye battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Logan was edged by Bloom-Carroll (Carroll, OH), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Yellowjackets battle the Granville Blue Aces (Granville, OH) in a Licking County battle, on Thursday, September 19. Mt. Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Blue Aces enter the battle with a 7-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Avon (Avon, OH).
