September 14, 2024: Lewisburg, WV 24901 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Greenbrier East Spartans (Lewisburg, WV) and the visiting Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV), saw Greenbrier East's soccer squad knock off Huntington by a count of 3-1.
The Spartans (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against George Washington (Charleston, WV). The Patriots enter the non-league battle with a 6-0 record. In their last battle, George Washington tipped Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Highlanders confront the South Charleston Black Eagles (South Charleston, WV) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 17. Huntington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
