September 14, 2024: Voorheesville, NY 12186 The Voorheesville Blackbirds soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Lake George Lakers to 0 in the Blackbirds non-league victory on Saturday.
The Blackbirds now hold a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to La Salle Institute for a Colonial Council bout on Tuesday, September 17. Voorheesville will play a Cadets squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Mohonasen (Schenectady, NY). The Cadets record now stands at 3-2.
With the loss, Lake George moves to 1-3 on the year. The Lakers host Corinth (Corinth, NY) to play the Riverhawks in a Adriondack bout on Friday, September 20. The Riverhawks go into the bout with a record of 1-0.
