Missouri High School Softball - Penney topped by Carrollton
September 14, 2024: Carrollton, MO 64633 Carrollton Trojans (Carrollton, MO) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Penney Hornets (Hamilton, MO), 17-0 in a league game.
With the triumph, Carrollton improves its record to 10-0 on the year. The Trojans host Lathrop (Lathrop, MO) to play the Mules in a non-league game on Saturday, September 14. The Mules enter the game with a record of 3-2. Lathrop lost 9-1 in their recent non-league game against West Platte (Weston, MO)
The Hornets now hold a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Trenton for a Class 2 District 15 game on Monday, September 16. Penney will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Brookfield (Brookfield, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-4.
