September 14, 2024: Shannon, MS 38868 Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Saltillo Tigers (Saltillo, MS) and the host Shannon Red Raiders (Shannon, MS), observed Saltillo's volleyball team top Shannon by a count of 2-0.
The Tigers (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS). The enter the Class 6A Region 1 contest with a 25-5 record. In their last contest, Lake Cormorant notched a victory over Ingomar (New Albany, MS), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Red Raiders battle the Okolona Chieftains (Okolona, MS) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 16. Shannon will attempt to move on its 3-13 season record. The Chieftains enter the contest with a 1-3 record after their 3-0 league loss to Smithville (Smithville, MS).
