Georgia High School Softball - Jordan bounces Americus-Sumter
September 15, 2021: Americus, GA 31711 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Jordan Red Jackets (Columbus, GA) and the host Americus-Sumter Panthers (Americus, GA), saw Jordan's softball squad nip Americus-Sumter by a count of 7-0.
The Red Jackets now sport a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Miller County for a non-league match on Monday, September 20. Jordan will face a Pirates squad coming off a 23-11 league loss to Pataula Charter Academy (Edison, GA). The Pirates record now stands at 5-4.
With the loss, Americus-Sumter falls to 0-11 on the campaign. The Panthers host Jackson (Jackson, GA) to face the Red Devils in a AAA Region 2 match on Tuesday, September 21. The Red Devils enter the match with a record of 10-4. Jackson won 16-4 in their recent league match against Central (Macon, GA)
