In Thursday's non-league match, the host Redwood Giants football squad scored a close 14-12 victory over the Acalanes Dons.

In their next game, the Giants face the Rancho Cotate Cougars (Rohnert Park, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, September 22. Redwood will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 2-2 record after their 31-13 non-league win over Petaluma (Petaluma, CA).
