September 15, 2022: Troy, NC 27371 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC) and the visiting North Stanly Comets (New London, NC), saw Montgomery Central's volleyball squad beat North Stanly by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Montgomery Central upgrades its record to 4-6 on the year. The Timberwolves host Central Davidson (Lexington, NC) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 20. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 7-5.
The Comets now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Union Academy for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 20. North Stanly will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-5.
