The Staples-Motley Cardinals topped the host Aitkin Gobblers volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Thursday's league test.

The Cardinals now have a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walker-Hackensack-Akeley for a non-league test on Saturday, September 17.

The Gobblers (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Detroit Lakes (Detroit Lakes, MN). The Lakers enter the Mid-State test with a 6-0 record.
