September 15, 2023: Hubbard, TX 76648 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Axtell Longhorns football squad scored a big 60-0 victory over the Hubbard Jaguars.
In their next game, the Longhorns clash with the Cayuga Wildcats (Cayuga, TX) in a 2A-1 Region II District 7 match, on Friday, September 22. Axtell will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 2-2 record after their 36-18 non-league win over Mt. Enterprise (Mt. Enterprise, TX).
The Jaguars (0-4) will now prepare for their match against Wortham (Wortham, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 2A-2 Region III District 10 match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Wortham was crushed by Blooming Grove (Blooming Grove, TX), 30-28, in a non-league match.
