The Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC) football routed the host Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), 49-0 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Chargers face the Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers (Yanceyville, NC) in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina bout, on Thursday, September 21. Northwood will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Buccaneers enter the bout with a 2-3 record after their 47-0 league win over Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC).

The Jets (1-4) will now prepare for their bout against North Moore (Robbins, NC). The Mustangs enter the 1A/2A Mid-Carolina bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, North Moore was overwhelmed by Southeast Alamance (Haw River, NC), 33-0, in a league bout.
