In Friday's non-league game, the St. Pius X Panthers (Houston, TX) football team knocked off the visiting La Marque Cougars (La Marque, TX), by a score of 27-13.

The Panthers (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Bishop Dunne (Dallas, TX). The Falcons come into the non-league game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Bishop Dunne toppled Bishop Gorman (Tyler, TX), 72-7, in a non-league game.

The Cougars now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Bellville for a 4A-2 Region III District 10 game on Friday, September 22. La Marque will battle a Brahmas team coming off a 56-22 non-league win over C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX). The Brahmas record now stands at 4-0.
