West Virginia High School Football - Sherman gets by Liberty

September 15, 2023: Seth, WV 25181

The Sherman Tide football squad scored 38 points and restricted the visiting Liberty Raiders to 32 in the Tide non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tide (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Ravenswood (Ravenswood, WV). The Red Devils come into the non-league game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Ravenswood was tipped by Doddridge County (West Union, WV), 40-0, in a league game.

The Raiders now hold a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clay County for a Coalfield AA game on Friday, September 22. Liberty will battle a Panthers team coming off a 41-0 non-league win over Sissonville (Charleston, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.
