The Schulenburg Shorthorns football team (Schulenburg, TX), was ripped 48-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Poth Pirates (Poth, TX)

The Pirates (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Dilley (Dilley, TX). The Wolves come into the 3A-2 Region IV District 15 challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Dilley Freer (Freer, TX), 0-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Shorthorns now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Thorndale for a 2A-1 Region IV District 13 challenge on Friday, September 22. Schulenburg will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 38-31 non-league loss to Iola (Iola, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-4.
