The Selma Bears held off the visiting Reedley Pirates football team by a count of 27-21 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Selma upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Bears travel to Madera (Madera, CA) to encounter the Coyotes in a County/Metro outing on Monday, September 18. The Coyotes go into the outing with a record of 3-2. Madera lost 45-0 in their recent non-league outing against Del Oro (Bakersfield, CA)

With the loss, Reedley moves to 0-4 on the season. The Pirates host Mt. Whitney (Visalia, CA) to encounter the Pioneers in a non-league outing on Friday, September 22. The Pioneers go into the outing with a record of 1-3. Mt. Whitney lost 25-22 in their recent non-league outing against Mission Oak (Tulare, CA)
