The West Memphis Blue Devils (West Memphis, AR) football defeated the visiting Sheridan Yellowjackets (Sheridan, AR), 49-21 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Blue Devils face the Sylvan Hills Bears (Sherwood, AR) in a 6A East bout, on Friday, September 22. West Memphis will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Bears enter the bout with a 0-4 record after their 42-7 league loss to Searcy (Searcy, AR).

The Yellowjackets (0-4) will now prepare for their bout against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, AR). The Titans enter the 6A East bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Jacksonville lost by Marion (Marion, AR), 48-13, in a league bout.
