New York High School Football - St. Joseph Regional beaten by St. Anthony's

St. Anthony's Friars (Melville, NY) fans left the game satisfied Saturday as they observed their football team run past the visiting St. Joseph Regional Green Knights (Montvale, NJ), 42-34 in a non-league test.

With the win, St. Anthony's improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Friars host Iona Prep (New Rochelle, NY) to confront the Gaels in a Catholic AAA test on Friday, September 22. The Gaels go into the test with a record of 2-1. Iona Prep won 31-14 in their recent non-league battle against Central (Springfield, MA)

Coming up next, the Green Knights play the St. Peter's Prep Marauders (Jersey City, NJ) in a Super - United Red battle, on Friday, September 22. St. Joseph Regional will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Marauders enter the battle with a 0-4 record after their 27-20 non-league loss to Delbarton (Morristown, NJ).
