September 15, 2023: Kingfisher, OK 73750 The Kingfisher Yellowjackets softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Waukomis Chiefs to 2 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Kingfisher improves its record to 8-11 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Elk City (Elk City, OK) to clash with the Elks in a 4A District 2 game on Saturday, September 16. The Elks come into the game with a record of 20-9.
In their next game, the Chiefs clash with the Geary Bison (Geary, OK) in a non-league game, on Monday, September 18. Waukomis will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Bison come into the game with a 3-15 record after their 12-0 non-league loss to Sentinel (Sentinel, OK).
