The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Burges Mustangs (El Paso, TX) and the visiting Horizon Scorpions (El Paso, TX), saw Burges's volleyball squad beat Horizon by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Burges upgrades its record to 13-8 on the year. The Mustangs host Canutillo (Canutillo, TX) to play the Eagles in a 5A Region I District 1 bout on Tuesday, September 19. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Canutillo lost 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Ysleta (El Paso, TX)
