September 15, 2025: Providence, RI 02903 The Classical Purple (Providence, RI) football tipped the visiting Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI), 16-12 in Monday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Purple face the Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI) in a non-league game, on Monday, September 29. Classical will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Chargers enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 24-0 non-league win over Exeter-West Greenwich/Prout (West Greenwich, RI).
The Huskies now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Ponaganset for a non-league bout on Monday, September 22. Mt. Hope will encounter a Chieftains team coming off a 20-6 non-league win over East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI). The Chieftains record now stands at 1-0.
