September 15, 2025: Newton Grove, NC 28366 Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Lejeune Devilpups (Camp Lejeune, NC) and the host Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), saw Lejeune's soccer squad hold off Hobbton by a score of 2-1.
The Devilpups (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Liberty Christian Academy (Richlands, NC). The Heat enter the non-league battle with a 4-6 record.
Next up, the Wildcats confront the North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC) in a Carolina 1A/2A battle, on Wednesday, September 17. Hobbton will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Rebels come into the match with a 1-3 record after their 5-1 league loss to East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC).
