The Chestnut Ridge Lions volleyball squad (New Paris, PA), dropped 3-1 in Monday's non-league battle with the host North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA)

With the win, North Star improves its record to 5-6 on the season. The Cougars host Moshannon Valley (Houtzdale, PA) to meet the Black Knights/Damsels in a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 16. The Black Knights/Damsels enter the contest with a record of 0-6. Moshannon Valley lost 3-0 in their recent league battle against Williamsburg (Williamsburg, PA)

The Lions now own a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bishop Carroll for a Laurel Highlands 2 battle on Tuesday, September 16. Chestnut Ridge will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Somerset (Somerset, PA). The Huskies record now stands at 4-7.
