Illinois High School Soccer - Coal City held off by Joliet Catholic
September 16, 2021: Joliet, IL 60435 The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers (Joliet, IL) and the visiting Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL), saw Joliet Catholic's soccer squad get by Coal City by a count of 1-0.
The Hilltoppers now hold a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Saint Viator for a East Suburban Catholic test on Saturday, September 18. Joliet Catholic will meet a Lions squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL). The Lions record now stands at 3-4.
With the loss, Coal City drops to 5-5 on the season. The Coalers travel to Morris (Morris, IL) to meet the Redskins in a non-league test on Saturday, September 18. The Redskins come into the test with a record of 4-7. Morris lost 9-0 in their recent league test against Kaneland (Maple Park, IL)
