September 16, 2022: Solon, IA 52333 The Assumption Knights football team (Davenport, IA), was beaten 35-10 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Solon Spartans (Solon, IA)
The Spartans (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against West Burlington/Notre Dame (West Burlington, IA). The Falcons come into the 3A District 5 challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, West Burlington/Notre Dame achieved victory over Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, IA), 30-20, in a non-league challenge.
The Knights now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central DeWitt for a 3A District 4 challenge on Friday, September 23. Assumption will meet a team coming off a 20-13 non-league loss to Marion (Marion, IA). The record now stands at 3-1.
