The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Darlington Tigers (Rome, GA) and the visiting Northwest Whitfield Bruins (Tunnel Hill, GA), observed Darlington's football squad defeat Northwest Whitfield by a count of 41-33.

The Tigers now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Dade County for a A D1 Region 7 contest on Friday, September 23. Darlington will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 14-0 non-league win over Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 3-1.

Coming up next, the Bruins encounter the Sonoraville Phoenix (Calhoun, GA) in a AAAA Region 7 contest, on Friday, September 30. Northwest Whitfield will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record.
