Nebraska High School Football - Franklin overwhelms Meridian

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Franklin Flyers (Franklin, NE) and the visiting Meridian Mustangs (Daykin, NE), observed Franklin's football squad bounce Meridian by a tally of 70-20.

The Flyers now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Shelton for a D6 District 3 (6 Man) contest on Thursday, September 22. Franklin will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 58-24 non-league win over Paxton (Paxton, NE). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-0.

Coming up next, the Mustangs play the Dorchester Longhorns (Dorchester, NE) in a D6 District 1 (6 Man) contest, on Friday, September 23. Meridian will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Longhorns go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 24-20 non-league win over Harvard (Harvard, NE).
