In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Haynesville Golden Tornado football squad scored a good 41-13 victory over the Junction City Dragons.

In their next game, the Golden Tornado clash with the Glenbrook Apaches (Minden, LA) in a 1A District 1 match, on Friday, September 23. Haynesville will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Apaches enter the match with a 3-0 record after their 56-8 non-league win over Delta Charter (Ferriday, LA).

The Dragons (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Fouke (Fouke, AR). The Panthers enter the 3A Region 5 match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Fouke thwarted Foreman (Foreman, AR), 57-22, in a non-league match.
