In Friday's non-league match, the host Russell Christian Academy Warriors football squad scored a good 44-20 victory over the Hillcrest Christian Cougars.

In their next game, the Warriors face the Cornerstone Christian Eagles (Rainsville, AL) in a Christian (8 Man) bout, on Friday, September 23. Russell Christian Academy will attempt to advance on its 5-0 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 3-2 record after their 63-46 non-league win over Pineview Christian (Harvest, AL).

The Cougars (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Christian Collegiate Academy (Gulfport, MS). The Bulldogs enter the non-league bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, Christian Collegiate Academy defeated Discovery Christian (Florence, MS), 66-6, in a league bout.
