The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Penelope Wolverines (Penelope, TX) and the host Iredell Dragons (Iredell, TX), observed Penelope's football squad defeat Iredell by a count of 40-32.

The Wolverines now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Kopperl for a non-league contest on Friday, September 23. Penelope will confront a Eagles team coming off a 46-0 non-league loss to Oglesby (Oglesby, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Iredell moves to 2-2 on the season. The Dragons travel to Lingleville (Lingleville, TX) to confront the Cardinals in a non-league outing on Thursday, September 22. The Cardinals go into the outing with a record of 3-1. Lingleville won 72-21 in their recent non-league outing against Three Way (Stephenville, TX)
