The Marietta Tigers football squad scored 14 points and restricted the host Ripley Vikings to 0 in the Tigers non-league victory on Friday.

The Tigers now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Williamstown for a non-league battle on Friday, September 23. Marietta will face a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 62-0 league win over Ravenswood (Ravenswood, WV). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-0.

Coming up next, the Vikings face the Oak Hill Red Devils (Oak Hill, WV) in a Coalfield AA battle, on Friday, September 23. Ripley will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Red Devils enter the battle with a 2-2 record after their 47-16 league win over Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV).
