In Friday's non-league match, the host Monroe Golden Tornadoes football squad scored a big 62-6 victory over the Randolph-Clay Red Devils.

In their next game, the Golden Tornadoes clash with the Thomasville Bulldogs (Thomasville, GA) in a AAA Region 1 match, on Thursday, September 29. Monroe will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 28-7 non-league win over Tift County (Tifton, GA).
