September 16, 2022: Jay, ME 04239 The Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) football routed the visiting Morse Shipbuilders (Bath, ME), 54-22 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Phoenix face the Waterville Panthers (Waterville, ME) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 23. Spruce Mountain will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 3-0 record after their 26-20 league win over Mount Desert Island (Mount Desert, ME).
The Shipbuilders (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Lake Region (Naples, ME). The Lakers enter the 8-Man Large South (8 Man) battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Lake Region bounced Greely (Cumberland Center, ME), 38-12, in a league battle.
