September 16, 2023: Bronx, NY 10451 The Iona Prep Gaels (New Rochelle, NY) football overcame the host Cardinal Hayes Cardinals (Bronx, NY), 29-16 in Saturday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Gaels face the Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders (White Plains, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 23. Iona Prep will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Crusaders enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 20-18 non-league win over Chaminade (Mineola, NY).
The Cardinals (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Monsignor Farrell (Staten Island, NY). The Lions enter the non-league bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Monsignor Farrell was toppled by St. Anthony's (Melville, NY), 27-14, in a non-league bout.
