September 16, 2023: Chico, TX 76431 Dodd City Hornets (Dodd City, TX) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Chico Dragons (Chico, TX), 2-1 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Hornets battle the Yantis Owls (Yantis, TX) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, September 19. Dodd City will attempt to advance on its 20-7 season record. The Owls come into the match with a 1-9 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Harts Bluff (Mt. Pleasant, TX).
With the loss, Chico drops to 3-6 on the campaign. The Dragons host Perrin-Whitt (Perrin, TX) to battle the Pirates in a non-league match on Tuesday, September 19.
