September 16, 2023: Manila, AR 72442 The Manila Lions volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Ridgefield Christian Warriors to 0 in the Lions non-league victory on Saturday.
The Lions now have a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harding Academy for a non-league game on Saturday, September 16. Manila will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-4.
The Warriors (0-9) will now prepare for their game against Palestine-Wheatley (Palestine, AR). The Patriots enter the 2A East game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, Palestine-Wheatley gained a win over Barton (Lexa, AR), 3-0, in a league game.
