September 16, 2024: Crystal Lake, IL 60014 Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Crystal Lake Central Tigers (Crystal Lake, IL) and the visiting South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL), saw Crystal Lake Central's soccer squad hold off South Elgin by a count of 2-1.
The Tigers (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Cary-Grove (Cary, IL). The Trojans enter the Fox Valley battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, Cary-Grove was edged by Central (Burlington, IL), 3-1, in a league battle.
Next up, the Storm confront the Bartlett Hawks (Bartlett, IL) in a Upstate Eight - West battle, on Tuesday, September 17. South Elgin will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Hawks enter the battle with a 2-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Elk Grove (Elk Grove Village, IL).
