September 16, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28405 In Tuesday's league contest, the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) soccer team routed the visiting West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC), by a tally of 5-0.
The Buccaneers now hold a 11-1 record. They play next when they travel to Ashley for a Carolina Coast 6A/7A/8A challenge on Thursday, September 18. Laney will encounter a Screaming Eagle squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Screaming Eagle record now stands at 7-1.
With the loss, West Brunswick moves to 6-2 on the year. The Trojans host Hoggard (Wilmington, NC) to battle the Vikings in a Carolina Coast 6A/7A/8A contest on Thursday, September 18. The Vikings enter the contest with a record of 7-1. Hoggard won 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC)
