Virginia High School Football - Grundy drops to Ridgeview
September 17, 2021: Clintwood, VA 24228 In Friday's non-league game, the Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA) football team knocked off the visiting Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA), by a score of 42-13.
The (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Lee (Jonesville, VA). The Generals come into the Mountain game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Lee was dropped by Patrick Henry (Glade Spring, VA), 62-34, in a non-league game.
The Golden Wave now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Honaker for a Black Diamond game on Friday, September 24. Grundy will battle a Tigers team coming off a 51-22 non-league loss to Eastside [Coeburn/St. Paul] (Coeburn, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-1.
