The Medina Valley Panthers football team (Castroville, TX), was beaten 39-14 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX)

The Dragons (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX). The Rattlers come into the 5A-1 Region IV District 14 challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Rio Grande City was beaten by Alexander (Laredo, TX), 57-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host Uvalde for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 24. Medina Valley will meet a Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) team coming off a 20-19 non-league loss to Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX). The Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) record now stands at 1-3.
