In Saturday's non-league contest, the Tallwood Lions (Virginia Beach, VA) volleyball squad nudged the visiting First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Lions face the Timberlake Christian Tornadoes (Forest, VA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 17. Tallwood will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Tornadoes go into the contest with a 10-0 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Grace Christian (Staunton, VA).
